Occupational Therapist

Location: Cranborne, Dorset
Hourly Rate: £15.53 - £18.62 (dependent on experience and competency)
Annual Salary: £32,302.40 - £38,729.60
Contract: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)



About the Role


We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work with young people aged 11-25, supporting their development through person-centred academic and vocational programmes that lead to independent living, further study, or employment.


The role involves providing an Occupational Therapy Service, including assessment and treatment, supporting young people with complex needs such as ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. You will be instrumental in helping students achieve their potential by addressing their unique challenges.


Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver Occupational Therapy services in line with individual needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Provide direct intervention, programmes, and guidance to students while supporting staff to integrate therapy into the broader curriculum.

  • Offer professional leadership, supervision, and support to OT Assistants.

  • Deliver training and advice to the multidisciplinary team.

  • Participate in student reviews, team meetings, and collaborative discussions with other professionals.

Skills and Qualifications


The successful candidate will have:


  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
